What is gift aid?

Gift Aid is a tax relief available to UK registered charities, like us. To qualify, pledges must come from a UK taxpayer. The amount of Gift Aid that can be reclaimed on a pledge depends on the value of the reward being provided.

When will my gift come out?

It will be processed immediately; you should receive confirmation by email within a few minutes.

Can I give anonymously?

Of course you can, whilst we are always eager to celebrate your support we understand that some people wish to give anonymously. When you make your gift you will be given the option of what you would like to display, if anything.

Can I make a gift over £1,000?

Of course and firstly thank you for considering this. If you email givingtoglasgow@glasgow.ac.uk one of our team will get in touch about how best to make your gift.

Can I make a gift whilst living overseas?

Yes, of course we accept gifts from our entire community. Please note that all gifts will be processed in GBP, should you live in North America and wish to make your gift tax efficient you can do so by giving here. Alternatively, please do email us at givingtoglasgow@glasgow.ac.uk we would be happy to help you make your gift.

Can I make a gift without supplying an email address or address?

Yes, you can by adding at givingtoglasgow@glasgow.ac.uk to the email field however this will mean you will not receive confirmation of your gift being processed. Please also note without an address the University will be unable to reclaim Gift Aid on your gift. If you have concerns about how your information will be used please be assured you can manage how the University uses your details here .
